Adam Mickiewicz
The poet was born in 1798 year in Nowogródek. He was the son of a lawyer. After graduating from the Dominican Poviat School, He studied at the University of Vilnius, He was a co -founder of the Society of Filomats. W 1819 year he became a teacher in Kaunas, where he stayed to 1823 year. W 1822 The first volume of his poetry containing ballads and romances was published in Vilnius, Various poems and a preface on romantic poetry -the publication of this book is considered the beginning of Polish romanticism. A year later, the second volume of poetry was published by Grażyna and the II and IV parts of Dziady.
W 1823 year Mickiewicz stayed (In connection with the process of secret youth organizations in Vilnius) arrested and taken to Russia. He stayed in St. Petersburg, Odessa, Moscow. W 1826 the year, the Crimean Sonnets were published, w 1828 Roku Konrada Wallenroda. W 1829 year Mickiewicz went to Germany, Then to Italy, Switzerland. After the outbreak of the November Uprising, he came to Poznań, to go to Dresden after eight months. The third part of Dziady was created there. From Dresden, the poet went to Paris, by spending in 1832 year of the Book of the Polish Nation and Polish Pilgrimage. In Paris, in the years 1832-34, Mr. Tadeusz was written.
In the early 1940s, Mickiewicz was a professor of Latin literature in Lausanne, Then Slavic literature at the College de France in Paris. W 1841 year he met with Towiański, mystical philosopher, under which he remained strongly for several years. W 1848 in Rome, the Polish Legion was organized to fight Austria. Returning to Paris, edited the democratic magazine of the Tribunal of the People. During the Crimean War, w 1855 year, He went to Turkey with the intention of supporting the organization of the Polish army. He died in 1855 year during the cholera epidemic in Constantinople.
