Audersky Halina – ur. 3 July 1904 in Odessa, novelist, publicist, author of the dramas. From 1920 lives in Warsaw. She has done a postlonist degree on UW. Literary debut: Pupae of the great parade, Pamiętnik maturzystki (1935). In the years of the occupation, open as the editor of subversive AK publications in German; participant in the Warsaw Uprising. Po wojnie współredaktorka Polish language dictionary i miesięcznika Dialog, social activist (m.in. President of ZLP 1983-86, Member of the Sejm). Author of dramas from the history of Poland of the 16th and XVII. – Zbiegowie (1952), Rzeczpospolita zapłaci (1954), pieces for amateur and children's scenes as well as radio plays (set Vocal quartet, 1977). W powieści Pomegranate apple (1971) odtworzyła dzieje niemieckiej akcji okupacyjnej porywania dzieci polskich w celach germanizacyjnych. Ptasi gościniec (1973) i Babie lato (1974) to dylogia poświęcona polskim losom czasu wojny. Siren sword – A novel from the interwar period, lat okupacji i powstania warszawskiego.
