Master cylinder replacement – Fiat Uno
■ Disconnect the electric wires from the brake reservoir cover.
■ Drain the brake fluid from the reservoir.
■ Unscrew the brake lines to the pump. Lift the wires, not excessively bending them.
■ Unscrew the pump from the servo and remove it.
■ The servo pusher may protrude 0.8…1,0 mm above the contact surface of the cylinder. The length of the pusher can be adjusted.
■ Place a new pump with a slightly greased plunger seat and a new seal against the servo and screw it on tightly.
■ Move the brake pedal with your hand, without pressing. There must be a perceptible play of about 0.5…1 mm of advancing the pusher against the pump piston.
■ Connect the brake lines.
■ Put it on (press) brake reservoir and fill.
■ Bleed the system.
