Replacing the rear shock absorber – Fiat Uno
■ Loosen the rear wheel bolts, do not remove the wheel yet.
■ Unscrew the upper shock absorber fastening on the luggage compartment side.
■ Lift the rear of the car and place it on the stands, remove the rear wheels.
■ Support the rocker arm with a vehicle jack, without lifting it.
■ Unscrew the shock absorber lower mounting bolt and remove it.
■ Lower the jack under the rocker arm and remove the shock absorber.
A damaged shock absorber or spring must be replaced, together with the assembly on the other side of the axle. The replacement spring must have the same color code.
